Faith Community Church Lakeside

The live stream mixer also makes use of bus processing to handle side-chains for vocal and speech clarity and a mastering chain to ensure the mix reaches target loudness. A print track was also included to keep recordings of the live stream audio in place of other outdated methods.

The timeline in Studio One sees very little use in this design, allowing the stream mixer to focus on mixing instead of watching the timeline.

Faith Community Church Lakeside, like many churches at the time, began to give more focus to their live stream during the COVID pandemic. Over time, it was found that the audio being mixed by the board wasn’t delivering the desired results so a digital audio workstation was added to the signal chain to solve this issue.

The mixer contains a track for every input and a pre-built FX chain including the basics such as EQ and compression as well as more specific tools such as pitch correction for vocalists. The mixer is set to receive input from the StudioLive III post-gain and pre-FX to allow for a fully unique mix that properly services the needs of a live stream. Studio One allows for native effects to be expanded without opening them, giving mixers the ability to quickly see what settings on all effects.
